Route: Te Anau- Milford Sound- Te Anau
Stars: 4/5
We were always told there were only three place in Southern Island we could do sky diving, where were Christchurch, Wanaka, and Queenstown, where we all missed out.
Somehow, we heard that there was one small chance to do it in Te Anau.
And it was!
There was only one samll agency operating sky diving in Te Anau.
It was not very famous in New Zealand.
Even the crews in Queenstown didn't know there was on in Te Anau.
Sammi and I made a phone call quickly as soon as we settled down in Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park YESTERDAY.
It was already 7:30 PM. I didn't expect someone would pick up the phone but we still had to try.
Fortunately, someone named “Sam” probably, I couldn't remember, answered.
He was very very nice and helped us to arrange the sky diving.
He told me to called again this morning to see if the weather permitted or not.
It was 8:00am.
He apologize for the bad weather and suggest us go to Milford Sound first.
Then I could give him a call at 2 o'clock in the afternoon to see if it is ok to do Sky Diving at 4:30 with beautiful sunset.

Well, people always said Milford Sound is amazing. I can't really agree with it. It's quiet and peaceful, but the scenery is not the type I like. However, the scenery on the way to Milford Sound really attracted me.

There was a heavy river rushing from ice cap on the top of the mountains.
The branches of big tree on the side of the river covering with wet and thick green mose
Like a picture.

At 2:00 after finishing the cruise of Milford Sound, I made a call.
“The weather is good now! You guys can do it today!” Sam told me.
We were both excited and drove back to Te Anau quickly.
It was 2.5 hours drive.
It's been a little late for us to arrive at the small airport.
After watching DVD, the polite came in with disappointed expression.
“I'm sorry, the clouds come again. We probably can't do it today.”
“You can called me in the early morning tomorrow if you want.” they said.
“How about 7:00am?” I said with little joke, I know it might be too early for them.
“Sure, if you want!” they reply with smile.
“Really?” I asked with surprise.
They gave me a positive answer firmly and friendly.
“But you have to give us a call to wake us up to get prepare.” he said.
After discussing,we told the polite and the coach our situation.
Because the weather tomorrow got large chance to be bad again
And because of the delay of our journey,
we decided to leave tonight.
Otherwise, we really wanted to sky dive here with them.
Sammi and I both felt sad

It's been 7:30pm in dark night.
I could see everyone was tired and
I also understood the reason they would take a risk to drive at night is because of me.
I always showed my care about running out of time.
I was really sorry about it.
Therefore I eventually said “Do you guys think it'd be better if we stayed here for anther night and get up earlier tomorrow morning to drive instead of driving now? Maybe we could get up before dawn and get off as soon as the sky is bright tomorrow!”
So we stayed. And that brought Sammi and I an unexpected surprise.
